Success is only Rented
In his book, “Take the Stairs,” author Rory Vaden talks about the Rent Axiom. This is the notion that success is only rented and the rent is due every day. This is an interesting perspective and illuminates the importance of positive daily habits. It can help people avoid complacency while at the same time, shifting how we see successful people. Rather than placing successful people on a pedestal, we can observe them knowing that their sustained success is only achieved by consistent hard work, commitment to their values, attention to detail, relationship investment, and the like. IE: success is not a destination but a method of travel. It’s more of a verb than an adjective. So what do you do daily to ensure your success sustains?
