Whose Approval Are You Seeking?

Ever catch yourself caring a bit too much about the approval of somebody?  Perhaps it helps to be reminded of what Marcus Aurelius said: “The approval of men who do not even stand well in their own eyes has no value for me.”  It’s similar to the wisdom that states, “Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from.”  Who in your life are you giving too much weight to their opinion?
